# QR table ordering and the kitchen board

A guest at the table scans the QR code, picks from the menu and sends their order, which lands straight on the kitchen board. Staff can add orders too. Settling a check does not mean one lump sum — you can select items individually, collect for those and leave the rest open. Payment can be taken in cash, from a wallet QR, or through the fiscal register.

## Pasos

### 1. Prepare the table QR codes {#adim-1}

Reservations > Table QR Codes produces a card per table. Under Design you pick a Template — Classic, Bold, Elegant, Minimal or QR only — and set the Accent color, Heading and Call to action. With Show steps on, the card explains what the guest should do in three steps.

### 2. Print the cards or download a PDF {#adim-2}

Select all to mark every table, then Export: Print sends straight to the printer, Download PDF gives you a print-ready file and PNG suits a single card. The panel states how many tables and how many cards you have selected. A table that is not taking orders is marked Ordering off.

### 3. Work the kitchen board {#adim-3}

The Kitchen / Order Board queues incoming orders, and you can switch between the Kitchen and Tables views. Order cards move through Received, Preparing and Delivered; Start preparing and Deliver push them along. The NEXT UP label marks what is waiting and the time beside it shows how long it has been.

### 4. Add an order as staff {#adim-4}

Not every guest has to scan. Add order lets you enter items on a table yourself: pick from the Search products... box, watch them collect under Selected, and send with Add to table. New table order starts a table that has no open tab at all. Orders entered this way are marked Staff.

### 5. Collect the check item by item {#adim-5}

On the settle screen the Remaining amount sits at the top. Select items to pay, then Collect selected — for three guests paying separately you do it three times. Select all marks everything at once. Each item becomes Paid as it is settled, and when nothing is left the panel says all items are paid.

### 6. Collect from a wallet or the register {#adim-6}

Collect from wallet asks you to scan the customer's wallet QR code; Start Camera and scan, and the customer and their balance appear, then Collect deducts it. If the balance is short or the QR has expired, the panel says so. Send to register instead pushes the check to an active fiscal register and waits for payment there.

### 7. Close the table {#adim-7}

Once the check is fully paid, click Close table; the panel says the tab will be closed and asks you to confirm. A closed table drops off the list and is ready for the next guest. When no tables are open the screen says so plainly.

## Consejos

### Fix the QR card to the table

The footer and the steps on the card make the difference for a guest ordering by QR for the first time. Fix the card to the table permanently; loose cards handed out get lost, and the number of questions your staff field goes up.

### Item-by-item collection is the feature people use most

On a busy table everyone pays for what they had. Collect selected solves that on one screen; splitting a total by hand is slower and produces mistakes.

### Fix an offline register before you use it

The Send to register screen shows whether the device is Online or Offline. Pushing a check to an offline device wastes time, and when no response comes back the panel warns that the sale may still be open there.

## Preguntas frecuentes

### Can a guest order without scanning the QR?

Yes. Staff can enter items with Add order, and can even start a table with no open tab at all via New table order. Those orders show in the list marked Staff, along with who placed them.

### Can I collect part of a check and leave the rest?

Yes — that is exactly the design. Select the items to pay and click Collect selected; those become Paid, the remaining amount updates at the top, and the table stays open. Repeat until everyone has paid their share.

### The wallet QR will not scan

The panel distinguishes three cases: Invalid QR, QR expired, scan again and Could not open camera. If it has expired, the customer just refreshes the QR in their app; if the camera will not open, check the browser permissions.

### I sent it to the register and nothing came back

The panel says there was no response from the register and that the sale may still be open there, and it does not close the check. Go and look at the register — if the sale completed a receipt was printed, and if it was voided the panel reports that separately too.
