Pre-Accounting

Your books, on your own screen

Current accounts, income and expense, cash and bank, cheques and notes, and reports — in one place. Your existing orders and invoices can feed the ledger automatically.

Your books,

Stop keeping “who owes me what” in a spreadsheet

Most small businesses keep their books in one spreadsheet: contacts on one tab, expenses on another, cheques in a diary. As the file grows, who owes what, which cheque falls due when, and what will be left in the till at month end all become invisible. Pre-Accounting brings that into one screen. You open a current account, sales and collections post to its balance, and you can pull a statement. You record income and expenses against a ready-made Turkish chart of categories, and put recurring ones like rent and payroll on a template the system materialises for you. You define cash, bank and POS accounts; transfers between them are written in one atomic operation, so two balances can never disagree. You track cheques and promissory notes on a due-date calendar. The reports section gives you a 90-day cash-flow projection, receivable/payable aging, a monthly income-expense trend and a period VAT summary. This is a PRE-ACCOUNTING tool: it does not file tax returns and does not replace your accountant — it prepares the data you send them.

Highlights

What Pre-Accounting does

Current accounts and statements
01

Current accounts and statements

Keep customers and suppliers in one list. A positive balance means they owe you; a negative one means you owe them. See each contact's statement with its running balance, and record collections and payments by choosing which account the money went into.

Income, expense and recurring entries
02

Income, expense and recurring entries

Post entries against a ready-made chart — rent, payroll, marketing, cost of goods — or add your own categories. You type the VAT-inclusive amount and the net and VAT are derived exactly. Put monthly costs on a template; pick the 31st and February still fires on its last day rather than being skipped.

Cash, bank and POS
03

Cash, bank and POS

Define your accounts with an opening balance. A transfer between them is written in one operation, so money can never leave one account without arriving in the other. On a POS account, funds İyzico is still holding are shown separately and never deducted from the balance.

Cheque and promissory-note tracking
04

Cheque and promissory-note tracking

Track what you have received and what you have issued on a due-date calendar: in portfolio, deposited, cleared, bounced, endorsed. Only “cleared” posts a money movement, and marking the same cheque twice never credits your till twice. You are reminded 7 days and 1 day before a due date.

Cash flow, aging and VAT
05

Cash flow, aging and VAT

The 90-day projection starts from your live cash and bank balance and adds dated receivables and payables, open cheques and recurring entries; the first week the balance goes negative is called out. The aging report bands overdue amounts at 30/60/90 days. CSV export opens correctly in Excel with Turkish characters intact.

Auto-feed from what you already have
06

Auto-feed from what you already have

If you want it, your paid orders, invoices, expense receipts, courier cash-on-delivery collections, gift-card liability and refunds post to the ledger for you. Every source is switched on separately, writes nothing while it is off, and never writes the same document twice when you run it again.

How it works

Your books in four steps

No need to change accounting software — you can also start from scratch.

1

Open a free account

Sign up — your store is created immediately, then add the Pre-Accounting plugin from the panel.

2

Enter your cash and bank accounts

Record the cash in the till and your bank balance as opening balances. Pick a default account so entries land somewhere sensible.

3

Bring your contacts over

Add customers and suppliers, and carry the balance from your old system into the opening balance. Positive means they owe you.

4

Switch on the auto-feed

Optionally enable orders, invoices and expense receipts under Settings, and set the earliest date so your whole history does not pour in at once.

FAQ

Common questions

Before you start with Pre-Accounting

No. This is a PRE-ACCOUNTING tool: it keeps your records and produces your balances and reports. It does not file returns, does not calculate withholding, and does not replace your accountant. The VAT summary is working data for them, not a return.
