Adding products and managing variants

Create products, build colour and size variants, pick the main variant, manage stock and price — and why a product you added is not showing on the site.

What MağazamHazır sells is not a product, it is a variant. The product is a heading; the record that carries price, stock and images is the variant. Even a single-colour, single-size item has one. Once that distinction lands, both catalogue management and the classic 'I added it but it is not on the site' problem become clear.

Before you start

  • The E-Commerce plugin enabled on your store
  • At least one category defined (Ürünler → Kategoriler)

Steps

Screens are illustrative; the data in your own panel will differ.

  1. Step 1: Create the product

Add it from Ürünler → Tüm Ürünler. Name, description, category and brand live at this level — shared by every variant.

  2. Step 2: Add the variants

In Ürün Varyantları you create one row per colour/size combination. Each has its own price, stock, colour and images. Size 38 can sell out while 41 stays on sale — that is what variant-level stock buys you.

    40 / BlackBlack₺2,4507Active
    40 / TanTan₺2,5900Active

Only one variant can be marked as main.

  3. Step 3: Mark the main variant

The main variant is the one shown in listings and category pages: the price tag and cover image come from it. Only one variant can be main, and every product needs one.

  4. Step 4: Upload images per variant

Images attach to the variant, so the gallery changes when the customer switches colour. The main variant's image is also the cover on the category card.

  5. Step 5: Publish the product

Save the variants and set the product active. Open the storefront in a new tab and check the category page — do not keep filling the catalogue until you have confirmed one product renders.

Tips

Stock 0 is not the same as inactive

A variant with 0 stock still shows, marked as sold out. An inactive one does not show at all. Use 0 for seasonal items, inactive for discontinued ones.

Do not hand-enter hundreds of products

If you have an Excel file or a marketplace catalogue, Smart Import builds all of it — variants included — in one pass.

Frequently asked questions

I added a product but it is not visible in the store. Why?
By far the most common cause is that the product has no live main variant. Even with the product itself active, if its main variant is inactive — or no variant is marked main — the product does not render. Mark one variant as Ana Varyant and make sure it is active.
Can I add a product with no variants?
In practice no. Even a single-option item needs one variant, because price and stock live there.
Can colours of the same product have different prices?
Yes. Price is per variant, so every colour and size combination can carry its own.
